The Challenge

Being found in search, and in the answers that are replacing it

Future AGI needed stronger organic visibility across both traditional search and emerging AI-powered search platforms. The goal was not just to rank higher on Google, but to build a search presence that also improved how Future AGI appeared across LLM-driven discovery.

A difficult category to be found in

For an AI and SaaS company this is harder than it sounds. The category is crowded with well-funded competitors publishing heavily, and the terminology shifts every few months as the field moves. A keyword set that was correct at the start of a quarter can be partly obsolete by the end of it.

More significantly, a growing share of the buying research now happens inside AI assistants rather than on a results page. A company can hold respectable Google rankings and still be effectively invisible in the place where a technical buyer is actually asking the question — and never know, because nothing in traditional reporting shows it.

Two related but distinct jobs

Traditional SEO rewards structure, relevance and authority. LLM visibility depends on whether a model has absorbed clear, attributable information about you from sources it treats as credible.

These overlap but are not the same. Optimising for only one leaves half the discovery surface unaddressed. A site can be technically well-optimised and still give a language model nothing unambiguous to repeat about what the company does or who it is for.

There is also a language problem specific to technical products. Companies describe themselves in product terms; buyers search in problem terms. In AI and SaaS that gap is unusually wide, and closing it typically produces more movement than publishing more content.

What needed to be solved

  • A technical and on-page foundation strong enough to compete in a crowded AI and SaaS search landscape.

  • Content aligned to real search intent rather than internal product language.

  • Authority built outside the website, which is what competitive rankings ultimately depend on.

  • Visibility inside AI-powered search and LLM discovery, not just on Google.

  • Positioning stated clearly and consistently enough for a model to attribute it correctly.

  • A programme that compounds over months instead of producing a short ranking spike.

What We Did

We built visibility for both search engines and AI answers.

Our approach

The programme ran for six months as a continuous cycle rather than a fixed scope, with priorities reset each month against what was actually moving.

That structure was a deliberate response to the category. In a field where terminology, competitor content and the AI platforms themselves all change inside a six-month window, a strategy fixed at the start would have been partly obsolete before it finished.

01 — On-Page SEO

We reworked the website around stronger search intent and content relevance — improving page structure, metadata, internal linking, keyword targeting and on-page content to create a stronger foundation for organic growth.

The first task was mapping the gap between how Future AGI described its product and how buyers searched for the problem it solves. In technical categories these are rarely the same language, and closing that gap usually produces more ranking movement than any amount of additional content.

Internal linking was treated as a structural priority rather than housekeeping. It is how authority moves between pages, and how both crawlers and language models work out which pages matter and what the site is actually about.

02 — Off-Page SEO

We built authority beyond the website through a focused off-page strategy — relevant link-building, brand mentions and authority-building activity to strengthen the overall search presence and support competitive keyword rankings.

Relevance was weighted above volume throughout. In a technical category, a mention on a source that both the audience and the models treat as credible does more than a large number of generic placements.

This choice pays twice. The same credible citations that support rankings are also the sources a language model is most likely to draw on when answering a question about the category — so the off-page work served both goals rather than only one.

03 — LLM Visibility

Search is changing. People are increasingly discovering businesses through AI platforms and LLMs rather than a list of links, and that shift is faster in technical categories than almost anywhere else.

We optimised Future AGI’s digital presence to improve its visibility and relevance across AI-powered search and LLM discovery, alongside traditional Google rankings.

In practice that means making the company’s positioning, capabilities and differentiators unambiguous and consistently stated across the sources a model is likely to draw on. An assistant can only recommend what it can clearly understand and attribute — so vagueness and inconsistency are the real enemies, more than any ranking factor.

This is also why the on-page and off-page work mattered here beyond rankings: clear structure and credible citations are the same inputs both systems rely on.

04 — Continuous Optimisation

SEO was not treated as a one-time project. Over six months we continuously monitored rankings, search performance and opportunities, refining the strategy based on what was working and where new growth openings appeared.

Each month’s priorities were set by the previous month’s evidence rather than by the original plan. In a fast-moving field that is the only way the work stays relevant to the search landscape as it actually is.

The Outcome

Visibility built to last, not to spike.

Over six months, Future AGI built a stronger organic search presence across Google and LLM-driven discovery, with target keywords moving into the first five pages of Google results.

The strategy combined technical improvements, content optimisation and authority building to create sustainable search visibility rather than chasing short-term ranking spikes — which in a category this competitive tend to reverse as quickly as they appear.

Google ranking movement

Target keywords lifted into the first five pages through combined on-page and off-page work, against a field of well-funded competitors publishing at volume.

AI and LLM discovery

Positioning and capabilities made clear, unambiguous and consistent across the sources AI platforms draw on — addressing a discovery surface that traditional SEO reporting does not show.

Six months of compounding work

A continuous programme with monthly reprioritisation, rather than a fixed scope that ages out as the category shifts.

What this unlocked

A search foundation that keeps earning after the engagement — structure, content and authority that continue to work for traditional rankings and AI-driven discovery at the same time.
