The Challenge
Selling in three places at once, without three disconnected setups
LilHugs needed its online presence to work across several customer touchpoints at the same time — its own e-commerce website, its Amazon listings and its digital campaigns.
Each of those behaves differently and rewards different things, which is why most brands end up running them as three unrelated operations. The website gets built by one team, the marketplace listings get filled in by someone else, campaigns get outsourced, and the result is three different versions of the same product story — none of them wrong exactly, but none of them reinforcing the others.
Why the category makes this harder
Parents buying baby and kids products are cautious, comparison-driven buyers. They look for material detail, sizing, age suitability and comfort, and they check more than one place before deciding.
That creates a specific vulnerability. A product that reads clearly on the website and vaguely on Amazon does not just lose the sale on Amazon — it costs the trust that would have brought that buyer back to the website. In a category bought on reassurance, inconsistency reads as carelessness, and carelessness is disqualifying when the product is for a child.
Variant clarity carries unusual weight here too. In kidswear, size and age range are the questions, not secondary details. A confusing variant selector is a direct, measurable cause of abandoned carts and avoidable returns.
The channel problem
There is also a commercial reason not to depend on the marketplace alone. Amazon brings reach but takes margin and owns the customer relationship. A brand selling only there is renting its demand. Building the brand’s own store alongside it changes that balance — but only if the store is good enough that traffic sent to it actually converts.
What needed to be solved
A dedicated e-commerce website to showcase and sell the range directly, with the margin the marketplace does not take.
Multiple product categories organised into a clear, browsable shopping experience.
Product information and visuals immediately legible to a parent — material, sizing, age range, comfort.
A stronger presence on Amazon through properly structured listings.
Website, marketplace and campaign activity working together rather than as separate channels.
Campaigns that supported product discovery rather than competing with the other channels.
A setup flexible enough to absorb new products and collections as the catalogue expanded.
What We Did
We built one product story and pushed it consistently across every channel.
Our approach
Rather than optimising each channel in isolation, we defined how each product should be presented once — the material, the sizing, the age suitability, the benefit — and then enforced that same presentation on the website, on the marketplace and in campaign creative.
Consistency is doing real work here, not just looking tidy. A parent who compares the same product across two channels and finds the same clear answer is reassured; one who finds two different stories goes to a competitor.
01 — E-commerce Website Development
Fameweb developed the LilHugs e-commerce website with a product-focused structure, letting customers browse collections and find products based on what they actually need. The site includes dedicated product and collection experiences across categories such as comfortable underwear, socks and first-step footwear.
The build priority was the decision moment. For a parent that means knowing the material, the size, the age suitability and the price without hunting for any of them — so those details were given structural space on the page rather than being buried inside a description block where they get skipped.
02 — Product & Collection Structure
We organised the website around clear product collections and categories, making it easier for visitors to move from browsing into individual product pages. Product pages were structured with pricing, product details, variants and key benefits to support the purchase decision.
Variant handling was treated as a priority rather than a detail. Because size and age are the primary questions in this category, the variant selector is effectively part of the product information — and making it obvious removes one of the most common reasons a ready buyer abandons a cart.
03 — Amazon Listing Management
Fameweb worked on more than 20 Amazon product listings, focusing on presenting LilHugs products clearly and consistently for marketplace customers.
Marketplace buyers behave differently from website visitors. They scan rather than read, they compare within a single results page, and they decide from the title, the first images and the structured attributes. So the work concentrated on exactly those elements — making the product understandable at a glance and consistent with how the same product appears on the brand’s own site.
The objective was a genuinely strong product presentation on another major sales channel, rather than a thinner copy of the website listing. Treating the marketplace as a second-class channel is common and costly, because for many buyers it is the first encounter with the brand.
04 — Campaign Management
We managed more than 10 digital campaigns around LilHugs products to support product visibility and customer acquisition.
Campaign activity was aligned with the specific products and offers being promoted, so the creative, the landing page and the offer all said the same thing. A mismatch at any of those three points wastes the spend regardless of how well the targeting performs.
Where a campaign underperformed, the first place we looked was the product page it pointed at — and because the same team built that page, it could be changed rather than merely flagged.
05 — Integrated Digital Commerce
Rather than treating the website, Amazon and campaigns as separate activities, Fameweb worked across all three to create a more connected digital commerce setup: one product story, presented consistently wherever a customer encountered the brand.
In the strongest month of this period, the setup supported over 100k in revenue.

The Outcome
A connected selling setup across website, marketplace and paid.
The work gave LilHugs a more structured digital foundation for selling and promoting its products across multiple online channels, with a peak month of 100k+ revenue generated through the setup.
More importantly, the brand stopped depending on a single channel. It now has its own store, a properly presented marketplace presence, and a campaign process that feeds both.

What this unlocked
